POST 4: Childhood Series

When I think about the television series that I watched as a child, I remember “Barney and friends” or “Bananas in Pyjamas” and the songs that I sang over and over again to my family. I remember the boring faces of my teenage siblings saying: "No, here we go again".

I loved the Nickelodeon cartoons, like Rugrats. My family knew how much I liked them so all the gifts they gave me were from the characters in diapers. I had teddies, clothes and even linens with the faces of the characters. All the merchandise that you can imagine,
I really liked them a lot.

Today the series that I watch are very different from the ones I mentioned before, but if I’m making zapping and I find some series of my childhood I leave it and I give myself to nostalgia.

Post 10 - Evaluation of Blog Experience

I had never had the experience of writing in a blog, and the truth is that I liked it a lot, since the subjects were quite interesting and mostly entertaining. However, there were times when I forgot to write them, I'm sorry about that.  I acquired more skills in writing in another language, usually my relationship with the inglish language is through listening to songs and there I had the opportunity to explore another field, that of writing.  I believe that the way the blog is thinking is correct, the issues are in accordance with our interests and what is happening today in society, so they are relevant. I wouldn’t change anything in this format, I think it helps a lot to improve our english language skills.  I would like perhaps in the future to write about the issues that I am working with my colleagues. For example, we are doing a report about mental health in university students and it’s an issue that concerns us all, since, first of all we are unive...

POST 5: The Story of a Picture

This photo is taken on December 15 of last year during the Morrissey show in Santiago. It's a photomontage of the singer lighting a cigar to James Dean, the actor who died tragically and whose death is surrounded by mystery. That day coincided with my sister's birthday, she was a little angry because I would not be with her in her day, besides, I had already gone to a show of him in 2015. However, she understood it later.  It was a great day, my friends, Andrea and Diego, accompanied me. Later when the show ended, we went to the Blondie Club, a place that plays alternative music in Santiago (and one of my favorites places in this city), where you could enter for free with the ticket of the show. It had been a musical special of The Smiths and Morrissey (obviously) and we danced all night those sad songs that we love.
